I met Teodora Katelieva in 2007. Someone referred me to ‘the best trainer’ in the world. It’s been a long time and she’s still my ‘trainer’. She has a great sense of humor, but takes her job seriously. Her no bullshit theology keeps me grounded and connected to my own power and strength. Covid came, and without skipping a beat, she’s finding ways to take care of business and continue serving her clients. No self pity, no complaining. Onward. Here she is showing me one of her new tools. I could write a book about the lessons she’s helped me […]

Surreallistic Days

Recently, I was on assignment for TriRail. One of our objectives was to shoot the platforms at peak times to illustrate the volume and different types of riders using the train. The week after I finished this work, things changed. It still seems so surreal to me….the things that are becoming normal now. Public transportation is one of the best places to witness and feel these new norms. Caution. Fear. Optimism. Most important, the innate desire people have to carrying on, despite. I wanted to explore this new phenomenon using some images from this project in a different way.

As a photographer I have always photographed my friends and family. Unfortunately because of my busy schedule and limited time, I do this less and less. That’s why I was so happy when Sophie needed some photos for her new website, https://www.lesprittherapy.com/. I was so happy to spend this time with her. It was like ‘stopping to smell the roses’. Being in her beautiful garden among her treasured objects, I was filled with appreciation and love for this beautiful soul whose purpose it is to assist in the healing of others. I love these images of her. This has inspired […]

Recent photoshoot for book project by Human Kinetics, Your Workout Perfected, by Nick Tumminello. Being in a gym feels like home to me. You wouldn’t necessarily know it by looking at me, but the gym and/or what it represents have always been close to my heart. That’s why I love photographing athletes. Witnessing the passion, dedication and the blessings of a fitness lifestyle.  Always something to aspire to. And can you believe this guy, Korin Sutton, is a vegan body-builder? Healthy, clean eating looks goooood to me… I made these gifs just for the fun of adding motion. Lately I […]
